Armed with a Canon, I live to tell stories. While not currently available for hire, photography and cinematography are two of my passions; I love to capture the events, activities, and relationships that intertwine people. Formerly working as a wedding photographer and a staffed magazine photographer, I am a shutter-happy high school religion teacher in Las Vegas. Taking photos of my family spending time together, showcasing the work of my amazing school, highlighting the easy-to-miss details of the world around us—this is how I happily spend my days when I'm not in the classroom. I began working professionally as a photographer while studying theology at Concordia University Wisconsin. In 2012, I transitioned to work as the staff photographer for St. Louis' premier weekly social magazine, Ladue News. Our family has since moved to Nevada where I am thrilled to work as a Theology teacher at Faith Lutheran Middle and High School, Las Vegas. Between the classroom and the camera, I'm able to utilize all my passions and showcase them here on my site.
